The strength of the Google Find Hub network comes from the enormous number of Android devices participating in the network. Your YIP Smart Tag can therefore be detected by participating Android devices even when your own smartphone is nowhere near the tag.
Google's Find Hub network uses Bluetooth to detect nearby items and securely sends the detected location to Find Hub. Google also uses encryption to protect the location information associated with your tracked items.
