Replacing the battery is easy
- Remove the battery cover.
Insert a quarter into the opening on the side of the YIP Smart Tag. - Lightly twist the quarter.
Gently twist the quarter in both directions to release and remove the battery cover. Do not use excessive force. Release the battery.
Locate the battery catch tab at approximately the 11 o'clock position around the battery.- Remove the old battery.
Pull back the battery catch tab and remove the old CR2032 battery. - Install the new battery.
Insert a new CR2032 battery with the "+" side facing toward you. When installing the battery, insert the right side of the battery first underneath the battery tab on the right side. Then gently press down on the left side of the battery until it snaps securely into place. - Replace the battery cover.
Position the battery cover on the tag and push down until it is securely closed.
Important: Do Not Press the Button
No button needs to be pressed when replacing the battery.
The YIP Smart Tag does not require you to press a button during the battery replacement process.
Pressing the button during this process can interfere with the pairing connection between your YIP Smart Tag and your smartphone and may require you to reconnect the tag.
Simply remove the old battery, install the new CR2032 battery with the "+" side facing toward you, and replace the battery cover.
