Will My Android Phone Work with the YIP Smart Tag?

If you have an Android smartphone that runs Android 9.0 or newer, your phone should be compatible with the YIP Smart Tag.

As a general rule, most Android smartphones manufactured in 2019 or later will meet this requirement, although the Android version installed on the phone is what ultimately determines compatibility.

To check which version of Android your phone is running:

  1. Open Settings on your Android phone.
  2. Scroll down and tap About phone.
  3. Look for Android version.
  4. Your phone should be running Android 9.0 or newer.
